Johanna Alarcón (1992)

Woman Photojournalist and freelance documentalist based in Ecuador, focusing on social, cultural, human rights and gender issues.

Member of Fluxus Foto, Native Agency and PH Museum.

Her work has been published in: Folha Sao Paulo International, Bex Magazine, Lifestyle Magazine, The Spacebar, Media Ninja, Faction Latina, Community Press.

Selected to New York Times portfolio review. Nominated for Joop Swart Masterclass and 6×6 Global Talent. Winner Everyday Projects Mentorship, Afroamericanos award (Ecuador), Juan Antonio Serrano photojournalism award. Honorable Mention in photobook competition RM. Mentor in 20 Photographers Campament.

Today she combines assignments, teaching and her personal projects.
